Why Start Quran Learning Early for Your Child?

"

The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said: "The best of you are those who learn the Quran and teach it."

(Sahih Al-Bukhari)

Children who begin Quran learning young build a connection with the Book of Allah that stays with them for life. Their memory is at its sharpest, and their pronunciation habits are easiest to shape. The love for the Quran, once planted early, grows deeper with every year.

Personalised Madrasah Experience

Many parents in Luton want their children to attend a local Madrasah or Maktab. They want the structure of traditional Islamic education combined with the safety and personalised attention that large group settings cannot always give.

Our kids' Quran academy in Maidenhall offers exactly that: Small classes, qualified teachers, and a clear learning path from the very first lesson to Quran completion.

From Qaida to Quran and Beyond — A Structured Journey for Every Child

Stage 1

Noorani Qaida: Learning the Arabic Alphabet

Noorani Qaida is where every Quran journey begins. Your child learns to recognise and pronounce all 29 Arabic letters, starting from their individual shapes and sounds. They then learn how letters join together to form words, and how short vowels (Harakat) change the sound of each letter.

⏱️ 4-6 Months Approx 🎯 Goal: Recognition & Joining
Start Qaida Today

This stage is made enjoyable through visual aids, repetition games, and short practice exercises. Children aged 4-7 finish fastest with regular sessions and 10-15 minutes of home practice.

Stage 2

Nazra Quran: Reading with Fluency

Once the Qaida is complete, your child moves into Nazra, reading directly from the Mushaf. They progress Surah by Surah, building speed, fluency, and confidence. The teacher monitors accuracy at every session and corrects letter sounds before errors become habits.

Book Nazra Assessment

We start with Juz Amma to give them early wins and build their love for the Quran. The ultimate milestone is the first Khatam of the Quran, a milestone celebrated in every family.

Stage 3

Tajweed: Correct Pronunciation Introduced Naturally

Tajweed rules are introduced gradually. At the kids' level, Tajweed is not taught as a heavy academic subject. Instead, your child's teacher corrects pronunciation errors in real time and teaches basic rules like Ghunnah and Madd through practice.

Learn Tajweed

Children who learn Tajweed alongside Quran reading from an early age develop natural, correct recitation habits. They do not need to unlearn years of mispronunciation later.

Stage 4

Hifz: Quran Memorisation for Ready Students

For children who are ready and motivated, we offer a structured Hifz programme. We use the traditional Sabaq, Sabaqi, and Muraja'ah system, specially adapted for younger memory patterns and shorter attention spans.

Enrol in Hifz

Children who begin Hifz young progress faster. Your child's teacher tracks every page, reports progress to parents weekly, and adjusts targets based on ability.

Stage 5

Islamic Studies: Deen as a Way of Life

Alongside Quran learning, your child learns the essential Islamic knowledge: correct method of Wudu and Salah, the five pillars of Islam, short daily Duas, and basic Islamic beliefs and values.

This gives your child a rounded Islamic education. They learn their faith as a complete way of life, starting with the things they use every single day.
